The University of Florence is involved in Research activities carried out in the 69 departments of the University within an international dimension; Florence is active in many projects funded by the European Union within the Framework Programmes for Research and Technological Development (FP).  UNIFI brings expertise from the Clinical Biochemistry Unit (expertise in the pre-analytical phase of molecular diagnostics), the Department of Human Pathology and Oncology of UNIFI (expertise cyto-histopathology), the Neurology unit (expertise in AD and neurogenetics) and the Mass-Spectrometry.
